Back in the old days- each of the 50 states was free to set its own drinking age. It was legal to drink as a teen in some states. Some of us began to sample the more common beers back in high school. Miller, Bud, Schlitz, etc. were popular at the time. I call these Bowling Alley Beers- thinking of a typical Cold War era bowling alley.

An active & on-the-go lifestyle:

The craft beers & ales of today– with more flavor & higher alcohol content- were nowhere to be found on store shelves.

The Bowling Alley brands still mostly survive & mostly taste the same. They seem to be constantly trying to reinvent themselves with new packaging & labeling.

Remember Sports Fans-

The best beers require the least advertising.
